The initial guidebook was developed based on the Child Protection Guidelines by the UK Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

It is of especially important when speaking about the roles and responsibilities of pediatricians, as it can play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and health of a child. To protect children and young people from harm, all healthcare staff must have the competences to recognize child maltreatment and to take effective action as appropriate to their role. This guidebook compiles the existing best practices regarding the work with the children. Itcomes to replenish the official healthcare guidebooks and needs to be used together with them.
